A women's health checkup package is a single blood draw that screens the areas most likely to drift out of range across a woman's life stages: reproductive hormones, thyroid function, iron and vitamin status, blood sugar, and general organ health. With Luxury Wellness, a DHA-licensed nurse collects the sample at your address, covers 91 parameters for AED 349, and your report reaches your inbox within 24 hours in most cases.

It is not a single test but a coordinated panel — for example, thyroid hormones and iron are read together, because both affect fatigue and period changes, and reading either one alone can miss the picture. Reproductive hormones such as FSH, LH and oestradiol are most informative when drawn on the correct day of your cycle, which we help you plan at booking.

The process

How the home checkup works

Six steps from your first message to a report you can actually understand — and if your test involves hormone timing, we build that into the plan from step one.

Tell us what's going on

Message us on WhatsApp or call. Tell us why you're testing — fatigue, irregular periods, planning pregnancy, an annual check, or a doctor's request form you can photograph and send. If you're not sure which parameters you need, our coordination team will talk it through with you at no charge.

We check your cycle date

If your panel includes FSH, LH, oestradiol or progesterone, the day of your cycle matters. We ask when your last period started so we can suggest the most informative collection window, rather than testing on an arbitrary day and getting a result that's hard to read.

Confirm your slot and address

Choose a time that suits you, including early mornings for fasting parameters. We operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, so weekends and public holidays are ordinary working days for us. Send your address, building name and any access notes.

Your nurse arrives

A DHA-licensed nurse arrives at your door, in uniform and carrying identification — usually within 30 minutes in Dubai. She'll confirm your name and date of birth, confirm which tests you're having, and answer any questions before starting.

Sample collection

The draw takes about five to ten minutes. Sterile, single-use equipment is opened in front of you, and tubes are labelled at your side, at the moment of collection — never in advance. If you're anxious about needles, tell us; it changes how we position you.

Your report, explained

Routine parameters are emailed to you, usually within 24 hours; hormone parameters take slightly longer. Every report shows your value against the laboratory's reference range, and we'll tell you plainly when something needs a physician's review rather than a reading of the page.

A note on interpretation. A single out-of-range hormone value is common and is not, by itself, a diagnosis. Hormones move naturally across the menstrual cycle, with stress, and with sleep. Reference ranges are population averages, so results are read alongside your cycle day, symptoms, age and medication — and we'll always say when a result belongs in front of a doctor rather than interpreted alone.

What's included

What's inside the Women's Health Checkup Package

91 parameters in one draw, grouped around the systems that most commonly explain fatigue, cycle changes, hair and skin complaints, and fertility questions in women.

Core blood work

  • Complete Blood Count (CBC)
  • Fasting / random blood glucose
  • HbA1c — three-month glucose average
  • Complete urine analysis
  • Electrolytes — sodium, potassium, chloride

Reproductive hormones

  • Oestradiol (E2)
  • Progesterone
  • FSH and LH
  • Prolactin
  • Total and free testosterone
  • DHEA-S

Timing changes what these mean — see cycle-day guidance below.

Thyroid function

  • TSH
  • Free T3, Free T4
  • Anti-TPO antibodies

Thyroid disorders are several times more common in women, and symptoms often overlap with fatigue and mood changes attributed to other causes.

Vitamins & minerals

  • Vitamin D (25-OH)
  • Vitamin B12
  • Folic acid
  • Iron studies — serum iron, ferritin, TIBC
  • Calcium

Low iron and vitamin D are the two most common deficiencies we see flagged in this package.

General organ health

  • Lipid profile — cholesterol, triglycerides
  • Liver Function Test (LFT)
  • Kidney Function Test (KFT)
  • Uric acid

Common optional add-ons

  • AMH — ovarian reserve marker
  • Anti-CCP — for joint symptoms
  • Female cancer marker profile (CA 125, CA 15-3, AFP, CEA, CA 19-9, Beta HCG)
  • STD screening panels

Build a custom panel with add-ons →

This panel is designed to help flag patterns linked to PCOS, thyroid imbalance, anaemia, vitamin deficiency and pre-diabetes. It is a screening tool, not a diagnosis — any suspected condition still needs clinical assessment, and often imaging, alongside the blood work. Send us your doctor's request form on WhatsApp if you need something outside this list, and we'll tell you honestly whether we can add it.

Preparation

Fasting requirements and cycle-day timing

This panel mixes tests that need fasting, tests that don't, and hormones that mean something different depending on where you are in your cycle. Getting the timing right is the single biggest factor in a result you can actually trust.

Fasting, by parameter

TestFasting neededNotes
Lipid profile / cholesterol8–12 hours Water is allowed and encouraged. Triglycerides are the most food-sensitive value on the panel.
Fasting blood glucose8 hours minimum No food, no sweetened drinks, no chewing gum.
Full package (as booked)8–12 hours Since the panel includes lipids and glucose, the whole draw is treated as fasting.
Iron studiesPreferred, morning Serum iron is higher in the morning and falls through the day, so a fasting morning draw is most comparable over time.
HbA1c, CBCNot requiredAny time of day.
Thyroid profile (TSH, T3, T4)Not required TSH is highest overnight and falls during the day — a morning draw is preferred, and repeat tests should be at a similar hour.
Vitamin D, B12, folic acidNot requiredAny time of day.
TestosteroneNot required Best drawn between 7am and 10am, when levels naturally peak.

When to test reproductive hormones

FSH, LH and oestradiol

For a baseline picture, drawn between day 2 and day 5 of your cycle, counting day 1 as the first day of full flow. This is when these three hormones are most interpretable against standard reference ranges. Tell us your last period's start date when booking and we'll suggest the window.

Progesterone

Drawn around day 21 of a 28-day cycle — roughly seven days before your next period is expected. This is when progesterone should be at its highest if ovulation has occurred, which is exactly what the test is checking for. If your cycle is longer or shorter than 28 days, we adjust the day accordingly.

Prolactin and testosterone

Can be drawn on any cycle day. Prolactin is best drawn fasting and in the morning, and ideally without recent breast stimulation or significant stress beforehand, both of which can raise it temporarily.

AMH (ovarian reserve)

Can be drawn on any day of the cycle — it does not fluctuate meaningfully across the month, which is what makes it useful as a flexible add-on for fertility planning.

Irregular or absent periods

If your cycle is irregular, unpredictable or currently absent, tell us — we can still plan a sensible collection day, or your doctor may prefer a random draw interpreted alongside symptoms rather than one tied to a specific cycle day.

Pregnancy or breastfeeding

Hormone levels shift substantially in pregnancy and while breastfeeding, which affects how several parameters in this panel are interpreted. Tell us at booking so we can flag this for the reviewing physician.

Biotin supplements can distort your results. High-dose biotin — common in hair, skin and nail supplements and many multivitamins — interferes with the immunoassay technology used to measure thyroid hormones, oestradiol, testosterone, prolactin and vitamin D. It can make a normal result look abnormal, or hide a real abnormality. If you take more than 5 mg of biotin a day, stop 48 to 72 hours before your test and tell us at booking.

On the day

  • Drink water. It doesn't break a fast for blood test purposes, and it makes the vein easier to find.
  • Keep taking prescribed medication — including hormonal contraception — unless your doctor has told you otherwise, but do tell the nurse what you take.
  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours beforehand; it affects liver enzymes and triglycerides.
  • Skip intense exercise that morning, which can temporarily raise liver enzymes and white cell counts.
  • If you feel faint during blood tests, say so first. We'll have you lying down before starting rather than after.

Turnaround

When your results arrive

Turnaround depends on the technology behind each group of tests, not on how much you paid — hormone assays are batched, so they naturally run a little slower than routine chemistry.

Test groupTypical turnaroundWhy
CBC, lipids, liver, kidney, glucose, HbA1cWithin 24 hours Automated analysers, high throughput
Thyroid, vitamin D, vitamin B12Within 24 hours Standard immunoassay
Reproductive hormones (FSH, LH, oestradiol, progesterone, prolactin)24–48 hours Batched immunoassay runs
AMH, cancer marker add-ons24–48 hours Specialised assay, run on a fixed schedule
Urine analysisWithin 24 hoursDipstick plus microscopy
Times are typical and start from laboratory receipt, not from collection. Your exact turnaround is confirmed when you book.

Suitability

Who this package suits

Irregular or absent periods

Cycle changes are one of the most common reasons women book this panel. The combination of hormones, thyroid and metabolic markers helps a doctor start narrowing down causes such as thyroid imbalance or a PCOS-related pattern.

Fatigue, hair loss or skin changes

Thyroid disorders, iron deficiency and low vitamin D can each cause this cluster of symptoms on their own, which is exactly why they're tested together rather than one at a time.

Planning pregnancy

A baseline hormone and thyroid picture, plus iron and vitamin D status, gives you and your doctor useful information before trying to conceive. AMH can be added if ovarian reserve is a question you want answered.

Postpartum and breastfeeding

Thyroid function commonly shifts in the months after childbirth, and iron stores are frequently depleted. This panel is a practical way to check both without a clinic visit while caring for a newborn.

Perimenopause and menopause

Hormone patterns change gradually over years, not overnight. Baseline and repeat testing over time is often more informative than a single reading, and home collection makes repeat testing far easier to keep up with.

Annual preventive screening

Many women simply want a yearly check that goes beyond a basic blood count — this panel is built to be that check, without needing to explain why to a receptionist.

When home testing is not the right choice. If you have heavy vaginal bleeding with dizziness, severe abdominal pain, chest pain, difficulty breathing, or symptoms of a stroke or heart attack, do not book a test. Call 998 for an ambulance or go to the nearest emergency department. A blood test is not an emergency service.

Standards

Safety, hygiene and accreditation

A hormone result is only as trustworthy as the chain behind it — who drew it, how and when it was labelled, how it travelled, and which laboratory ran it. Here is our chain, in full.

Licensing

Luxury Wellness Home Healthcare Center LLC operates under Dubai Health Authority licence number 8470098. Every nurse who attends your home holds an individual DHA professional licence and carries identification — you are entitled to ask to see it.

Laboratories

Samples are processed by accredited partner laboratories including VM Labs, MDC Laboratories, PH Diagnostic and Al Farabi Medical Laboratories — the same laboratories that process samples collected in clinics across Dubai.

Equipment and infection control

  • Sterile, single-use needles and collection sets, opened in front of you
  • Sharps disposed of in a certified container that leaves with the nurse
  • Hand hygiene and gloves before every collection
  • Clinical waste returned for licensed medical disposal

Sample integrity

  • Tubes labelled at your side, at the moment of collection
  • Correct tube order and additive for every hormone assay
  • Temperature-controlled transport to the laboratory
  • Chain-of-custody documentation from collection to receipt

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How much does the Women's Health Checkup Package cost?

The Female Premium Health Package covers 91 parameters for AED 349, reduced from AED 599. Home collection anywhere in Dubai is free, and Tabby and Tamara let you pay in instalments.

What tests are included?

Reproductive hormones (oestradiol, progesterone, FSH, LH, prolactin, testosterone, DHEA-S), full thyroid profile, vitamin D, B12, folic acid, iron studies, calcium, CBC, blood glucose, HbA1c, lipid profile, liver and kidney function, and urine analysis. See the full breakdown above.

Do I need to fast before the test?

Yes, for this package — because it includes lipids and glucose, the whole draw is treated as a fasting test, so 8 to 12 hours without food is recommended, with water allowed. Most of the hormone and vitamin tests in the panel don't strictly require fasting on their own, but we standardise the collection as fasting for consistency. See the full fasting table.

Does it matter which day of my cycle I test on?

Yes, for FSH, LH and oestradiol, which are most interpretable when drawn between day 2 and day 5 of your cycle. Progesterone is best drawn around day 21 of a 28-day cycle. Prolactin, testosterone and AMH can be drawn on any day. Tell us your last period's start date when booking and we'll suggest the right window.

What if my periods are irregular or I don't have a clear cycle day?

Tell us at booking. We can still schedule a sensible collection day, or arrange a random draw that your doctor interprets alongside your symptoms rather than against a specific cycle-day reference point.

Can this test detect PCOS?

The hormonal tests in this package — including LH, FSH, testosterone and thyroid function — cover markers commonly used to help identify a PCOS-related pattern. PCOS is diagnosed clinically, usually alongside symptoms and sometimes an ultrasound, so this panel is a screening step rather than a standalone diagnosis.

Is this suitable if I'm planning pregnancy?

Yes. It gives a baseline hormone, thyroid, iron and vitamin D picture before trying to conceive. If ovarian reserve is a specific question, AMH can be added as an extra test at booking.

Is it suitable during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?

Hormone levels shift substantially during pregnancy and breastfeeding, which changes how several results in this panel should be interpreted. Tell us at booking so we can flag this, and so your report is read in the right context.

How quickly can a nurse reach me?

In most parts of Dubai, within 30 minutes of confirming your booking. Sharjah and Ajman are typically 45 to 60 minutes. These are typical times rather than guarantees.

How long do results take?

Routine parameters — CBC, glucose, lipids, liver, kidney, thyroid, vitamin D and B12 — are usually reported within 24 hours. Reproductive hormones (FSH, LH, oestradiol, progesterone, prolactin) typically take 24 to 48 hours because they run in batched assays.

Will this be confidential?

Yes. Nurses arrive in plain professional uniform with nothing identifying the test type. Reports go only to the email address you provide, and invoices show our company name only, never the tests performed. See privacy and confidentiality for the full detail.

Why should I stop biotin supplements before this test?

High-dose biotin, common in hair, skin and nail supplements, interferes with the immunoassay technology used to measure thyroid hormones, oestradiol, testosterone, prolactin and vitamin D — it can make a normal result look abnormal or mask a real one. If you take more than 5 mg a day, stop 48 to 72 hours before testing and tell us at booking.

Can I book alongside my mother, sister or daughter?

Yes. One nurse visit can cover several family members in a single appointment, with an individual, confidential report issued for each person.

Do you accept insurance?

Home lab testing is usually a self-pay service. We provide a detailed invoice you can submit to your insurer for reimbursement where your policy allows it. Contact us before booking to confirm what your specific plan covers.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes. Tabby and Tamara split the AED 349 package into instalments at checkout, alongside Visa, Mastercard, Google Pay and cash on collection.

What should I do if a result comes back abnormal?

Contact us. A single out-of-range hormone value is common and frequently not a diagnosis — hormones move naturally across the cycle, with stress and with sleep. We'll help you understand what you're looking at and tell you honestly whether it warrants a physician's review. We will not diagnose you from a page, and neither should anyone else.

Can you collect at my hotel or office?

Yes. We collect at hotels across Dubai for visitors and medical travellers, and at offices for individual and corporate bookings, with discreet arrival either way.

Are you licensed by the Dubai Health Authority?

Yes. Luxury Wellness Home Healthcare Center LLC operates under DHA licence number 8470098, and every attending nurse holds an individual DHA professional licence. You can ask to see identification at the door.

How often should I repeat this checkup?

Once a year is reasonable for most healthy women, and more often if you're monitoring a diagnosed condition, adjusting medication, or following up an abnormal result. Your doctor should set the exact interval based on your history and risk factors.

How do I book?

Message us on WhatsApp or call +971 50 545 2624. Tell us your last period's start date if your panel includes reproductive hormones, plus your area and a preferred time. Most bookings are confirmed in under a minute.
